This is my recipe for Indian Butter 'Chicken', it`s a combination of a few recipes for Butter Chicken that I found on the internet. I`m really happy with this version although I can`t really be sure how `authentic` the flavour is since I haven`t actually tried the `real` version.
1 pkg Yves Veggie Chicken Tenders
1 cups plain soy yogurt
1/2 tsp ginger
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 onion, chopped
1/3 cup Silk brand soy coffee creamer
Take the Yves Veggie Chicken Tenders out of the pkg. and pour into a bowl. Sprinkle with spices, and pour soy yogurt over top. Marinate in the fridge for a few hours.
When ready to make dinner. Take out the bowl of marinated veggie tenders. Set aside.
Heat up your frying pan, add the oil and onions. Fry until tender. Add the veggie tender mixture. Let cook for about 15 minutes at a low simmer, then add the Silk creamer and heat to warm (do not let boil).
Serve over basmati rice.
